September's Superior Court begins today

September's Superior Court docket begins today with several high profile cases on the list. The first couple days of court will be filled with conferences, where the attorney meets with the judge and district attorney to negotiate plea deals. Look for more on the blog in coming days.

Jason Alderman is charged with attempted first degree murder, first degree kidnapping and misdemeanor escape from a local jail in what sheriff's deputies say was a November 2005 failed jail escape that left a Cleveland County Detention Officer badly beaten. Johnathon Kee has also been charged in the case. He is scheduled to make a court appearance as well. Read more about the case and David William Pace's involvement and guilty plea in July.
