Verdict reached

9:30 AM - the jury is deliberating. I will update you if the jury comes back with any questions or a verdict. Stay tuned.

10:30 - The jury returned a verdict of guilty of voluntary manslaughter. He was sentenced to 72 to 96 months in prison.

Check back here shortly for reaction from the defendant's family. Samuel's family was not in the courtroom when the verdict was announced.

I have a fried modem so have had to come to a friend's house to read and post here. Guess everyone has gone to lunch because there still is no update on reation to the verdict.

6-8yrs is better then 25 to life...

I'm not being spiteful but his "reactions" did take someone's life. and both parties involved in the incendent have to deal with the consequences...Para's paid for it with his life and Early will lose a few years of his...

I enjoyed blogging the trial. We probably will only do these extensive blogs on murder trials. It's quite time consuming.
